A BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL COUNTRY SETTING, GREAT FOR CREATIVE EXPRESSION
From November 2017, we will be launching short stay creative and printmaking retreats with self catered accommodation at Waymount Farm where a purpose built artists studio is currently being fitted out. The retreats will offer a setting where guests can enjoy a combination of luxury accommodation and relaxation with creative expression in a beautiful country setting.
Since 2002, Kim and Kelvin Taylor have been lovingly crafting Waymount Farm to become a retreat centre offering luxury accommodation with creative and wellbeing retreats. It is planned printmaking and creative retreats will be held from late 2017 offering guests an introduction to printmaking set in a wonderful surrounding.
The printmaking retreats will provide an introductory level of printmaking for beginners. Experienced printmakers are welcome to work independently and will enjoy the beautiful and peaceful country setting of a source of creative inspiration. The creative retreats will cater for a maximum of 8 participants, although there is ample accommodation on the property for 12 or more people should guests wish to simply relax and rejuvenate.
For further details about the printmaking retreats, send Kelvin an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Costs and Inclusions
The cost to attend a weekend printmaking and creative retreat is $575.00+gst per head for accommodation and tuition. A minimum of 4 participants are required for the retreats to go ahead.
Two nights of accommodation (a twin share) are supplied on the premises at Waymount Farm for Friday and Saturday nights. The whole property is reserved for the printmaking retreat attendees. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
The cost of the retreat covers accommodation, morning tea, lunch, and supper on Friday evening, as well as all printmaking equipment and supplies. Breakfast and dinner is to be supplied by the attendees.
Retreats will be hosted by Kelvin Taylor who has been studying printmaking at Hazelhurst Community Gallery and Art Centre for 6 years and has showed work at exhibitions since 2014. It is planned that printmaking and creative retreats be held from November 2017. The retreats run for 2 days and include 2 nights twin share accommodation at Waymount Farm. A maximum of 8 participants are accepted for each retreat.
The primary printmaking medium that will be explored is that of photopolymer (solar) plates. The beauty of this medium is its low toxicity and quick and simple plate production. Plates are exposed in the sun and washed out in water and ready to print within 30 minutes. Guests will learn how to make a plate and create a unique artwork of their own making.

"What a perfect holiday retreat. So relaxing with sun drenched living areas overlooking the stunning countryside and a gorgeous pool spa outdoor area. So much space. King beds were a real treat. The kids loved the sauna and the close proximity of the kangaroos, sheep and cows. We would all highly recommend Waymount Farms." - Penny
A five star holiday house
"This is an outstanding holiday house that can accommodated multiple families. It has big grounds, a big pool, a big spa, a sauna, a big kitchen, a big BBQ... you get the idea. Everything worked too. It also had lovely views from the backyard of its paddocks and the mountains. We would definitely like to stay again." - Simon
Fantastic place to stay
"We spent three nights at Waymount Farm over the Australia Day long weekend and enjoyed the peaceful surrounds and excellent facilities. Plenty of space, a great kitchen area to entertain from, a wonderful outdoor area and BBQ, and a pool that we couple not keep the kids out of. All of that plus the farm setting with cows, sheep and the odd kangaroo, all close by... what more could you ask for?!" - Joel
